No Corona Virus Epidemic on St Barts as of March 09, 2020
Reassuring news coming from the ARS (French Governmental Health Organization)
concerning the island of St Barthelemy (St Barts). There are no clusters, and still only one confirmed case of Coronavirus on the
island – the same individual who was identified 10 days ago.
He is nearing the end of his quarantine phase and will be considered healthy again in a matter of days by
the ARS. It’s worthwhile reporting that his wife and children have not been contaminated. This proves the virus isn’t spreading as dynamically as one previously thought as
long as all basic preventive measures are being strictly applied by everyone.St Barts has been pro-actively putting in place all the recommendations and
procedures issued by the ARS.If required, the ARS has a contigency plan ready to be executed on a moment’s
notice in collaboration with the hospitals and Guadeloupe and Martinique.Wea re continuing to update the media on a regular basis.
Please find below the official press release from the ARS.
