Carnival St Barths

Carnival – the period between Epiphany and Ash Wednesday marking the beginning of the forty days abstinence of Lent.

St Barts Carnival celebrations include a children’s costume parade, a pajama parade,
a Mardi Gras parade in Gustavia, and ends with the burning of (Vaval) the king of Carnival at Shell Beach on Ash Wednesday.
