Thankfully, Lorient has not changed.I don't know, maybe it's some OTHER Lorient beach (OK, I'll drop the apostrophe!). For us, Lorient has always been 1) a quiet beach with generally tiny waves; 2) a place to go where almost everyone there is local; 3) a beach with no stuffiness or glitz and glam; 4) a beach where, for much of the day, my wife (and her very Irish skin) can find a spot to relax in the shade of a tree; a place where I can gaze into the vastness of the ocean and have little fishing boats and such (and no megayachts) as part of my environment. Has it changed?
Here today as I type and can confirm - has not changed. Sargassum only down at far end to the left/westThankfully, Lorient has not changed.
Other than sands sometimes shifting with the tides, it is still local, quiet and beautiful.
??? Sounds likely!I am wondering if the Les Ilets women pointed past Eden Rock in the direction of Lorient, and he thought the far side of St Jean, or Pelican beach, was Lorient
