The dad is up front and 2 sisters and mom are in the back. Yes, the car drives on its own and makes decisions. However people are there when a fatal accident occurs and you see how their decisions led to this outcome. Note, with AI comes responsibility….A very good point is made.

Life imitating art? Personally, I do not see either of us yielding steering wheel and brakes over to AI.

Let me admit up front that I am old. But who is out there clamoring for self-driving cars?

Not me and I had a FSD Tesla at one point. Even with FSD Tesla requires the driver to take control. The only real driverless car I see in somewhat wide usage is the Waymo. BTW, Amy I read the book and liked it! Presented may real world questions about who or what is in control and therefore liable.

I do recommend this book as it discusses very now problems and some of those that may present themselves in the near future.
