it was...the hostess, who has been there for as long as we have been dining there ( about 15 years ), had a birthday today, so Lena wanted to make a special Disney Princess birthday card for her...seeing that they both share the same week for their birthday

not til the 17th...but she wont be here..so we are celebrating all this week - with the cake and gifts Thursday night, as they leave Friday morning...

and she thanks you all for the well wishes

Sorry Andy-but I do believe we were A&P first. Just celebrated our 48th anniversary. But as the Atlantic and Pacific company knows, there is room for more than 1 A&P...........

Tonight's dinner was littlenecks with pasta and blueberry crisp. Sweet little Rhode Island clams and local berries. I immodestly say everything was delicious.

nice....littlenecks and pasta are always a winner!

one of my scalloper friends left me a bag of day boat sea scallops today in the ticket booth..

brushed them with a little butter and a lot of teriyaki and a little lime juice....made ka bobs with the scallops, and the peppers, onions and cherry tomatoes I got at the Farmers Market Saturday....tossed them on the grill...with a tomato/mozz/basil salad and corn on the cob....

a Cote de Provence wine

perfect

BLTs for lunch yesterday and they were wonderful. Peter-we are enjoying your avatars! And fresh scallops...Mike, we have a friend who has fished from Cuttyhunk for the last fifty years. He calls scallops his favorite "fast food." Your Cote de Provence will go on the list. We had Heineken out of the ice chest and it was delicious.

I always start with an ice cold beer before anything else..today it was an ice cold Stella....my liquor guy in town who keeps me in Clement Rhum, is getting me two cases of Carib this week

love scallops that are so fresh you can eat em raw...so sweet
