what are you eating??

Sunny but chilly day yesterday. Forged ahead anyway.

Blueberry Mojitos

Grilled Skirt Steak with grilled peppers and onions.

A IZADI Reserve Rioja 2006 that was soooo good.

Strawberry Shortcake with the strawberries having spent a few hours soaking in Grand Marnier.

sounds great...we need summer weather for summer cooking

for me it was

Stella Artois

Tempura battered Codfish
Hand Cut Sweet Potato Fries
Fennel Slaw
Strawberry/Rhubarb dessert bars

In honor of the Bruins we will have, Cod, Baked beans, salad of Boston lettuce, and Thomas Hooker WatermelonAle.

Tomorrow's CSA basket will have kohlrabi in it. Does anyone have a favorite kohlrabi recipe? All that I've come up with is Kohlrabi and Apple Slaw.

no..steam the leaves soft...saute some ground veal and onions...chop up the stem and saute them with the veal.....roll em up...bake em off.... make up a sauce to go over em

just like a regular old stuffed cabbage

It's gonna come with leaves? I was thinking root. Guess I'll wait and see which I get.

Need a little liquid to poach- can't bake them dry- they will burn

You are like my dear mother- she knew what to do but could not say how. The first time I asked her for her veal scallopine recipe she told me to saute the veal but not to overcook it- I asked her: "how long"- she said "when it looks right"- lol. I miss her.

yes you are right..and I make the mistake of assuming the person knows all the little details and I dont want to insult them by telling them what to me is the obvious

Hey Mike,

Just saw where Linda Greenlaw came out with a cookbook she did with her mother. Any report? k.
