TO DANCE WITH THE WHITE DOG by Terry Kay

First out in 1990--should never go out of print. One of the best little stories I have ever read. Takes place in Georgia and reminds me of a Thelma and Louise kind of adventure I had there some 18 tears ago. Towns like Athens and Madison..and I was there with my road buddy from the forum, Erma!

The story revolves around a recently widowed 82 year old tree farmer and his loving family. He is widowed and befriended by a WHITE DOG-a stray that only comes to him and with whom he shares his last years.

It is about lost youth, young love, faith, life and death and mostly FAMILY.

A winner for sure

I often say TOO MANY BOOKS, TOO LITTLE TIME. And this is still holding true for me. Now I also think, “life is too short to read the same book twice.” Wrong! Stinking thinking that idea. About to wind down my 82nd year and still reading here in our newly arrived at Florida home. My thoughts, and I know not why, turned to this book that I read the summer of 2021, though I honestly did not remember the date until I found this old forum post.

(Not posted all that long ago after all.)

I loved iTerry Kay’s novel all over again. It is not a big book, so I read it a little over a day. For those of a certain age, I will tell you it was made into a movie. In fact, the last movie that actors Jessica Tandy snd Hume Cronyn filmed together.

Get comfortable, enjoy a glass of wine, and get lost in this heartwarming story. Life happens.
HAPPY READING friends, whether you are getting into it for the first or maybe the second time as did I.
