Things Remembered and No Longer There

Marigot Bay Club.
First night dinner ever on St. Barths...1990...we came in later...staying at the Guanahani...didn't want to go to the hotel restaurant because we wanted a simple dinner and to go to bed early as we were tired doing the first trip...so Guanahani told us about the Marigot Bay Club just down the road...we were 28 and 29...and we knew we were in paradise...came back every year for about 25 years...our kids grew up there...still talk about it....

Eden Roc before it was Eden Rock. Chez Francine, Le Pelican and there was a spectacular restaurant in the hill above the tennis court by guanahani. El Sereno where we honeymooned in 1987 and of course our favorite Filao Beach.
Just reminiscing via old posts. "

Do you mean the Turkish restaurant? I forget the name, but it was awesome!

That is correct. If I recall correctly, Albert Balayn had Le Flamboyant before he moved to La Gloriette on the beach.
Le Flamboyant was Turkish? I don’t remember that . . . only remember it as French. And yes . . . Albert went from Le Flamboyant to La Gloriette when he & his wife separated.

Cheryl & I only remember that it was up the hill by the tennis courts. I also remember that it had the best french food I had ever experienced in my life.
