Unlike meals in recent years, we've been offered rhum shots at almost all restaurants. L'esprit, Eddy's, les bananiers, ti corail, grain de sel and even Jojos (below)!!
Rhum vanille is my favorite part of dining in SBH (you know, after the food.. ) But even more interesting is the little blue cup from Trois Rivières in Martinique! I was there in 1980 (and probably after that, too), and rum from Martinique is so much fun!! I've never been to Jojo's, so that would be on the list to try!
I think Ginette of Chez Ginette aka "Gigi" fame uses all rhum agricole. As mentioned here before she won three gold medals for various flavored rums in Paris last year - Le Journal de St Barth
and she uses all kinds of local fruits for her unusual flavors.
