One night by JFK

Bonjour! It looks like we might be flying into JFK this summer to visit friends in NY (Hamptons) and we might need to spend the night before driving out there. We will be with 2 other friends as well. Can anyone suggest a safe and nice place to spend the night in that area? We will probably pick up a rental the next day or get a driver; not sure yet. Thanks in advance for any advice about where to go and NOT go!!

Being an architect, I was have always admired the original and am excited it was repurposed while respecting the design. Have sketched out a few trips to take us through there, but IAH to JFK to SXM doesn't make sense nor does those to Europe when we have direct flights.

stayed there many times, so many that they know me when I walk in and most of the time they have the room that I have requested on the 8th floor. amazing place
