I am planning to move to Saint Barth. Could you please advise how much it realistically costs to rent accommodation for a year, and where I should look for housing?

I think there’s a mistake here. $17K/ year??? ($1,400/month.) There would be people crawling & begging & bribing for this deal! I cannot imagine — if it can be found! — a one bedroom/bath apartment rental for less than 3K Euros/month.

Oh yes! Sorry to have misunderstood. Not a day goes by without an inquiry to me from local friends who are seeking accommodations. I guess that I no longer distinguish between Dave Barry’s humor & reality. It’s quite sad.
