to tip or not to tip . . . that is the question
I doubt the issue is the same as it was in 2002 or 2003 (or 50k posts ago). Isn't another recurrent thread is how much the island has changed and that the poster is going to go to some unspoiled sparsely inhabited rock instead of this one to experience the essence of the ol' island experience?
I'm only interested in what should i do next month when I go out to dinner. Again, to tip or not to tip is the question. (My apologies to the Bard.)
Maybe spellcheck?:check1:
Lighten up. :questionmark:yeah well I was sitting in a dark car at the high school waiting for my daughter to get out of rehearsal when I posted that
sue me....

Mon ami, that's what we do on this site. You and Andy are undoubtedly aware of that as you've contributed more posts to these discussions than any of the rest of us. There will always be newer members who can benefit from your extensive knowledge of the island, but it's best served with a scoop of tolerance on top. We were all newbies once.![]()
Echoing the sentiments of others, with above posts: What's so confusing here? Why does the subject of "tip or not tip" continue? What's the difficult part of this question?
Tip . . . or don't tip. Each person's choice. If you're indignant about a restaurant suggesting that you might want to tip . . . or even indignant about a waitperson proposing a tip . . . get over it. Do what you want. It appears clear that there are different "camps" with respect to the issue. I don't believe that there's a "right" or "wrong" answer.
I guess that I'm missing the merit found in a desire of some people to continue to express angst over a fairly simple matter.
