L’Esprit update

My most favorite restaurant, L’Esprit, has introduced a new concept -- a printed list of evening specials . . . very helpful in decision-making (Saturday night choices)

Of course, the nightly changing menus continue to be exquisite, IMO

I enjoyed a starter of Crayfish carpaccio (melt in your mouth — a religious, almost Communion-like experience!).

L’Esprit / Chef Jean Claude never disappoints me.

Wow, looks great!

I would love to try that menu tonight. Unfortunately, I’m 80 or so nights away from trying the L’Esprit menu of the night.

Chef Jean Claude and his team have never disappointed me, so I’m happier to be more venturesome there than in some other restaurants. I will likely break out of my usual Cochon Noir! There are at least ten new items that I want to try. I’m sure that JCD will have some of them, or perhaps newer and even more intriguing items, when I finally get to dine there.

I look forward to dining there multiple times when I visit SBH in a few months.

Looks delicious, Dennis. Truffles...yum. There is a restaurant in Paris near the Madeleine that we like that specializes in truffle dishes. When we were in Italy last year we went on a truffle discovery hunt. They use dogs to find them. We brought home some bottles of shavings.

Just amazing! Thanks for posting this menu and the drool-worthy food porn. We, too, enjoy dining there multiple times during our trips. Can’t wait for our return. Eighty-five more days but who’s counting!? The tingling has begun!

The Carpaccio is the prettiest dish I've ever seen. What a magical meal.
