Jet Blue attestation

Just a “heads up.” To be able to obtain boarding passes on the JetBlue SXM to JFK flight, we needed to complete a CDC required attestation form to being vaccinated. Process worked better on the app. Got hung up on the .com site.

this means if I am not US citizen and not vaccinated I cannot visit USA.
All other world countries removed vaccination requirements long time..

DebD, did you have to upload a picture of your vaccination card or just swear that you are vaccinated? When we returned home from Italy last July we did not have to fill anything like this out.

We did not encounter this returning from France last Spring or Portugal last fall. Don't know what's changed. Said it was CDC.

Once you get to the airport, please be prepared to present confirmation that you have completed the required form(s) (in digital or printed form) to a JetBlue Crewmember at the airport. You may be asked for them when you check your bags and/or at the gate prior to boarding. Please see below to know what is required for you based upon your country of citizenship.
U.S. citizens entering or returning to the U.S. no longer need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test, but must complete contact tracing in advance.
Foreign nationals must complete contact tracing and attestation, as well as be prepared to show documentation of vaccination status or vaccination exemption at the airport.

Again, in order for us to get our boarding passes, to be able to use the transit desk in SXM, an attestation form was required.

It says it's for foreign nationals.. I don't think US citizens have to do this, and not according to the JetBlue website:

  • The U.S. government requires all non-U.S. citizens flying to the U.S. to complete the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) attestation form confirming they meet the vaccination entry requirements.

strange. the "address while in US" seems to be addressing non-US citizens. CDC website has nothing I can find concerning an update to re-entry requirements for US citizens.

I think you checked the wrong box along the way. You don't need to do this.

There were 2 sections, one for citizens, another for non-U.S. citizens.

The personal address info was for tracing.

There was a different address section (inquiring where staying while visiting the US) for non-US citizens.

AGAIN. I was asked to complete the form because I requested to obtain boarding passes prior to arrival at SXM.

Once I requested to proceed with the boarding passes, I was directed to the attestation form.

I was not asked to upload proof.

i did not need it to check in, ONLY to obtain a boarding pass prior to arriving at the airport.

My guess is this is a glitch in the system when one asks for boarding passes prior to checking in? It really makes no sense on a few levels otherwise. Just guessing that something was not updated post covid/testing rules as it should have been via Jet Blue's system?

My two centimes.

Makes sense. JetBlue can be a little glitchy. The other trips were not JetBlue, and this didn't come up when I requested boarding passes for those 2 trips.
