Heading To A New Home.. God Bless America

Thanks, Mike. We are pooped. One last errand and we are sticking close to home.

It will be food in house I can nuke and get the last load in the dishwasher then tv and bed. St Barths services picking up bags at 7am.

My guess is we will be out cold and asleep quite early.

Wish I knew what I know now, when I was younger. Actually, the truth is wish I had the energy from when I was younger. Do as much as you can while you have the strength to enjoy what life can offer.

These so called golden years are not for sissies!

Bonjour to our Forum friends as we begin the July 14th holiday weekend with fetes and hopefully weather permitting fireworks over Gustavia.

Many of you may already know we have made the decision to leave our island happy place, We have been in this special Lurin house for 8 wonderful years. And yes, we certainly did indeed get to live our retirement dream.

Since we have luckily and thankfully reached into our 80s with no major health issues we are finishing packing up and will next week be relocating to the state of Florida. You should know that we are grateful for this fabulous life we got to live on New York's ISLE OF LONG, and also in St Barths. (Life is good.)

We plan to continue to follow the forum postings and track your comings and goings from our new perch in Sarasota. So please do keep posting to let us know what is happening on SBH and do try to be kind and please take good care of each other and yourselves.

Ahhh, St Barth!
Amy
…Until next time ❤️❤️

Hope you both have a great trip, my how time flies by. Looking forward to visiting you both in your new digs...

its like the island knows you’re leaving. It started grey and rainy, sad but still beautiful.

Dearest Amy and Phil,

Bon voage! Our mutual happy place will be a lesser place without you two. Bill and I, like sooo many others, found our yearly visits to SB incomplete without an lunch or dinner or villa party with you. You two have a rare gift--friendship.

Sarasota will be a beautiful fit for you--enjoy!!--paticularly since you will have a lovely high. water view! And, of course once you get settled, we will want to hear your comments on the latest good reads and life in general.

We'll keep in touch!

Love, Bill and Nancy

Welcome to FL… Great place to be. We left NY and are very content here!!!

I surely can't be the only person who cried while reading this post. I don't think I've traveled to SBH over the last 15 years without seeing Amy and Phil and future visits won't be the same.

I am officially working from Florida now and only an hour away from Sarasota. We'd love to welcome you to Florida. Let's meet on St. Armand's Circle or the new St. Regis for dinner one night. We have two July 26 birthdays to celebrate!

Thank you for so many joyful memories.

Lovingly,
Jeanette

May you always be, see and experience water and happiness where ever you reside. Enjoy your next chapter.

“There ain’t no party like an Amy and Phil party!” Like James Bond, nobody does it better! I could list all of the things we will miss if we get back to SBH, but you will be on the top of the list! I can’t even imagine going to dinners without you and having our cocktails and discussions. It’s like a giant branch of a tree dropped off, or part of our family left. You will probably get back there before we will, though! My in-laws used to live in Sarasota, so I know your stomping grounds ( lots of friends from our SD ‘hood have places near there) so we might get down that way this year! Also, we can tell you where to get the best grouper sandwiches and piña coladas! In fact, we will take you! Lots of Sarasota-Bradenton memories and we wish you continued good health and many more new friends in your new home..and it is closer to SBH than NY! We send our love and thanks for you being in the Pantheon of Saint-Barth memories for us!🥰♥️❤️🎉🌴🥂
