We are finally returning after a loooong 10 years after our honeymoon in SBH and this time we will bring our kids! They are 7 and 9 and while they have a strong appreciation for fine foods, we will need a wider variety of dining options this time and only an occasional splurge on fine dining locations. Our trip is two weeks early July. So here are the questions we have:
- I'm reading a lot about reservations being required weeks in advance and the island being busier than ever off-season - are we going to find enough options that will accommodate us with same-day or next-day reservations? On holidays and especially with the kids I like to take it day-by-day rather than planning every evening weeks in advance...
- Are many restaurants going to be closed for summer? (Is there a list?)
- Which restaurants are favorites with families, both simple and more upscale? Has anyone been to L'Esprit or Zion with kids and will they cater to the kids as well?
- Any other good ideas for simple pool-side lunches and dinners?
Thanks!
