An island in works: the point on construction sites
COROSSOL, CAMARUCHE, the Rockefeller dock, the fire station, the schools, the spectacle ... a horizon on the projects in progress or outstanding in Saint-Barthélemy.
An island in perpetual evolution for one or constantly disturbed by incessant works for others. A question from point of view, no doubt. Anyway, St. Barthélemy continues to be punctuated by the presence of many construction or development channel. Some are outstanding and will not be able to resume, others are in progress or in preparation. Here is a little horizon.
Road works
First of all, road work. The bulk of the work is expected to start at the end of May after the Voiles of Saint-Barth. In particular, the finalization of the work of Lorient-Camaruche with, announces the community, the establishment of a one-way traffic from the beginning of May and a complete closure in July-August.
The work behind the pond going up to Tourtelle will also continue
VRE, just like those of flasks to join Little Anse. As for those between Lurin (from the Santa Fé Restaurant) down to Gustavia, they will start, always at the beginning of May. At the same time, Corossol's work (road to Columbier) will stop at the beginning of June to switch on the main road of the neighborhood. The only road project that will start before is the entrance to Gustavia (early April). But they will focus more on maritime arrangements.
Theater, barracks, schools concerning the spectacle, on the heights of Gustavia, the terrace work is in progress. For the time being, they consist of setting up nails in the wall and toasting to consolidate and secure the waist front as and when earthworks. The site will be evacuated from its excavations by Barge to Saint-Martin where they will be reused. Six barges
On the heights of Gustavia, the earthworks of the future showroom are currently underway.
Parking and walking areas is in progress. The markets will be launched to continue the improvement work.
On the port side, the Rockefeller dock is almost complete. There remains only the bollards (large bits of mooring) to finish and the defenses to ask, specifies the community.
On the other hand, the construction of the dessert road and the parking of the fishermen are still under construction. Once these works are finished, the menus arrangements of the wharf will be finalized.
Following the fire in June 2021 in the basements of the EHPAD, the elected officials decided to relocate the local Nro which allows, substantia, to feed the island in the Internet. Another site was chosen and it is currently being construed, between the exhaust station and the car park at the back of the hospital.
Finally, Flamands, the construction workers of houses are being completed. They should be terrified early May.
