A beautiful evening, and a comfortable walk from Villa CEC to Le Sereno.

As a much liked, nearby venue, the Hotel’s “Al Mare” dining room is a favorite for me. A beautiful setting

. . . and refined Italian dining. For Valentine’s, a fixed menu

. . . with lovely violin music.

Starting with an amuse bouche offering of a fresh oyster from Cancale, the “Oyster Capital of Brittany.”

First course was crudo di Mahi Mahi with petite, tender asparagus

. . . following with pasta & thinly-shaved slices of shrimp in a delicate tomato basil sauce

Main course of Red Snapper with red sauerkraut & a large, thin slice of a mushroom cap, in a richly delicious mushroom reduction sauce

Dessert of chocolate cake in meringue with raspberry sorbet & raspberry coulis

Concluding petit fours

A tour de force evening.

What a perfect evening! Al Mare is among one of our very favorite places to dine on St. Barths. Your photos had me drooling, Dennis. Wishing we were there. Thank you for posting!

Looks amazing! A & P like it and we have never been there to eat; just look around. Le Sereno has been sold, as I understand it; not sure how that will/will not affect the food. I will put it on our list if that is what they are serving! The Italian guy who was head of the boutique over there, who was really nice, is now a server at Le Bouchon. Fun to see him there.

My understanding is that a 50% interest in the Hotel was sold . . . not sure of the impact on operations. So far, no noticeable change.
