A longtime in coming

After a span of ten years my wife and I are returning to the island to celebrate our 40th. Even though it’s been 10 years it will also be our tenth trip so we are not unfamiliar with the island. That leads me to my main question: what are the main changes we need to be alert to that have occurred since 2016?
Any major/significant changes to roads, restaurants or protocols, acceptable practices etc? Any information and/or guidance is greatly appreciated.
On a different note I have been a member of this forum since it was run by the woman and her husband who gave it up to open a restaurant years ago. I don’t remember their names but some of you will. My forum name was TomtheCat and if any mods read this, I would like to get it back and my original membership date if that is possible.

I realize it’s a very special occasion for you but just make sure you check prices for champagne at either Le Toiny or Beach Nao or a steak at Shellona.

I've been checking Le News each day with our trip fast approaching and Le Toiny has already started their day pass for the summer (120 Euro/pp) including a bottle of Perrier-Jouet so there is at least one good deal to be had out there!

Thanks for your recollection. It was probably somewhere in the very early 2000’s that I joined the forum. My username was actually a nod to one of my absolute favorite members at the time - Nick the Dog. Some of you may remember him.
