We used to love Anguilla when the Sonesta Hotel was there on Rendezvous Bay, next to the hotel where the sutured socialites would heal after their surgeries. Junior would meet us at the airport with the “family” car, we would hang with Pressure King and party at Uncle Ernie’s. Uncle Ernie would sit at his hightop & be the ONLY person to count his money. The Dune & Bankie Banx, Scilly Cay, and Mango’s were our favorite places. When both Pressure King & Dave from Mango’s were killed, we decided maybe Anguilla was not for us anymore! Great memories though!!

I remember when Dave (mangos) died (a fall from a balcony?) don’t know the story of pressure king though.

There are rumors that Pressure was involved in some less-than-legal businesses, which led to his murder, but I know nothing other than rumors. Anguilla, like St Barth, has more rumors than facts.

What I do know is that I always bought three shots of Crown at Uncle Ernie’s - one for Ernie, one for Pressure, and one for me.

We all hear things.

There are two things that I learned many years ago (pre-SBH). 1) Never go public with a Single Source. 2) Never give up a Source. And probably a 3rd - No matter how many Sources you have, be aware of the blowback that you’re going to get.
