Greetings St. Barth friends. Dined at La Coquille on the North Shore of LI. A wonderful french bistro that has been here for years. We dined here with Phil & Amy a few years ago. We are preparing our gastronomic tastes for St. Barth in a few weeks. Tuna done perfectly, crab cake the same. Reminded me of L’Esprit. Devoured the escargot so forgot to take a pic. When we asked for the finished escargot to be taken away, the manager came over with a wry smile and politely scolded us. He said that the french never send the escargot dish back if there is sauce left in the dish. We complied. There was no bread and no sauce left shortly. The wine was a perfect match. The mousse amazing and the port was the wonderful finishing touch. See you on the beach.
