Wine & Charcuterie

Hello all, just curious if someone can recommend a place to sit and enjoy wine with a charcuterie board or selection of cheeses? Sometimes after a big lunch, we don't feel like a full on dinner, but would love to enjoy some quality meats, cheeses or perhaps other light faire. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well, Ellen, you just turned me toward Tamarin after a zillion years away with that Tapas menu!! (Again, she got me with Foie Gras but I kept going this time and every item looks amazing!) That is a great idea to try that after a big lunch!

Thank you for the suggestion! We have eaten there a few times for dinner, just wasn't sure if it was really a place we could pop in without a reservation, but maybe we'll give it a try sometime, thanks again.
IMHO always best to call for a reservation . . . even if last minute. the restaurant will appreciate it. last minute call will also avoid PI's annoying practice of CC deposits for reservations. 🙄

LPI has limited tables, always good to message Julie in advance, maybe let her know that you only want one course for an hour and she can find a way to fit you in.

Tamarin also has a tapas menu that includes a nice cheese board - and you can sit in the beautiful garden there to enjoy wine and cheese ....

I just shared this with Cheryl and she and I are totally excited. We normally go to tamarin twice on vacation this year we’re only going once and sitting in the garden. So many choices so little time. Is that a quote from Phil the philosopher?

Availability of menu items at LPI can be hit or miss. If there is something you are craving, message Julie in advance. She has cooked some of my favorites for me with advance notice. The menu doesn't look expensive, but dinner there inevitably ends up being one of our most expensive of our trip. Perhaps our wine choices...

Perhaps? Nonetheless, I always find the total of "small plates" to be surprisingly expensive.

Great idea, thanks. I also looked at La Casina and they have a charcuterie for sharing that looks nice. Do you know if they have a bar area/seats?
Definitely a bar with seats . . . two, in fact. One is the cocktail bar, the other is the counter looking into the kitchen (formerly, when Zion Restaurant was in the space, known as the “Chef’s Table”) .
