We had lunch at Gloriette this afternoon, and spotted these guys. The one standing next to FRA99 is apparently the French Windsurfing Champion. BTW, lunch was great, details to follow.

Antoine Questel is, I believe, the name of the French champion who resides in St. Barth. The lady in the photo is also a champion of France. There's a big windsurfing competition coming up soon in St. B that is drawing an international group of competitors.

Yes Tim is correct, FRA99 is our local champion Antoine Questel... great guy and very talented athlete!

Music to my ears. We just arrived yesterday from New York and I was looking for some entertainment like this. I assume we can watch it from portions of Point Milou (on the Hotel Christopher side)?

What you can see will depend on the course. The funcup website can be found (in French) at saintbarthfuncup.com/index.html but I don't see any course information posted there.

The course may be determined each day, depending on winds, weather, etc. I wonder if they will post each days coures in Le News ----could be worth checking.

This looks like a race from GcDS to St. Jean on one of the days. Also standup paddle competition too.
