Wimco vs Sibarth

We have used WIMCO and Sibarth. No complaints whatsoever. We have also found some great places through Ici & La or actual villa owners.

As with most things - shop, talk and look around. When on isle, check out the various rental agencies and talk to locals that know "their stuff."

Hey WIMCO! Thanks for paying the dues for this great site. From what I see, this is a magnet for those inclined to visit SBH, and many other locations.

Well, OK. The mods and admin here are kinda alright. :) ;)

To date, I don't believe that anyone from WIMCO has ever posted on this site

Didn't the delightful Bethany used to post from time to time?

Tim Warburton in person has certainly posted.

Tim posted once last year (praising Premium IV) and Bethany a half-dozen times, the last on in 2006.

I stand corrected.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to give the delightful Bethany a call and check in.

It seems that I am one of the few here who prefers to stay on topic.

As an owner of two rental villas on the island, I have had many dealings with both WIMCO and Sibarth over the last 10 years. From what I know, the companies were never formally connected, but rather chose to work together in a productive, symbiotic relationship. Why did they part? To put it simply, as the principals aged, their goals diverged.

So, last December, WIMCO opened its own office on the island - a nicely-located spot right across from the airport - to handle its own incoming clients and owners.

As an owner, I like to work with WIMCO. They're highly professional, easy to work with, and have an incredible stream of quality clients for my villas. Over the last 10 years, 94% of my clients have been Americans booked through Wimco, so it makes sense to stay with them. I think that the most impressive part of their organisation is their familiarity with the villas. They send all of their agents to island frequently to look at every villa. They know their product as well as anyone and, thus, can make excellent choices for their clients' varying preferences.

Now, with their own office and team on the island. "what's not to like?"

That's my opinion. "Your mileage may vary."
