Which restaurant for lunch?

We are going for a 1 day trip from sxm and would like to have a great lunch. Will be renting a car so we are wide open to suggestions. We are not seafood lovers. Is there a "not to miss" spot for lunch? I also plan on having breakfast when we arrive so please offer suggestions on that too! Thanks so much for the help!

Breakfast in Gustavia-Cantina or Oubli or Creperie.

Day of the week matters. 2 Favorite lunch spots would be CLOSED on Wednesdays for example-Santa FE or Gloriette. Santa Fe is in the hills of Lurin and you see out to St Kitts, Statia and Saba. Then after lunch you go down the road to Gouvenour Beach. Gloriette is right on the beach and daily menu changes according to what is fresh and available. Isle de France or Sand Bar are nice high end people watching spots. At IDF you get the use of lounge chairs and towels if you do lunch-the beach stuff is FREE for the day to people who book lunch.

Lots of options.ENJOY!

If you want the beach, La Plage on St. Jean has breakfast and L'Oubli in Gustavia has breakfast- both places are for people watching. I like LeRepaire across the dock in Gustavia for lunch- look for the specials on the board by the bar. If you want the beach for lunch Isle de France is nice but for a first timer hard to find and with a car I assume you want to see the island and taking a chair at IDF wouldn't accomplish that.

I would have said Do Brazil for lunch but, it hasn't gotten great reviews of late. Of course, it might have changed...at any rate, the view of Shell Beach is beautiful and the (pricey) cocktails are fun. Another great lunch with a view is Harbour Saladerie and Le Repaire is very good.

I second Creperie but haven't tried the others mentioned for breakfast.

I forgot a forum favorite for lunch- the Sand Bar at the Eden Rock Hotel on St. Jean beach- very good food and a nice view.

I know- IDF is too far and a hassle to find the first time. I added some info to the Sand Bar such as it's part of the Eden Rock.

Well since you not seafood eaters I'll put in a nod for the place I plan to have lunch tomorrow -- Le Select -- Cheeseburger in Paradise :)

For a highend beachfront hotel restaurant lunch, I would go to either Sand Bar at the Eden Rock, or Case de L'Isle at the Isle de France. As noted, at the IDF you get the use of the beach chairs if you want to hang out for a bit.

For someplace a little more casual and on the beach, either La PLage at the Tom Beach hotel, or La Gloriette in Grand Cul de Sac.

For somewhere in town, I would go to Wall House, Harbour's Saladerie, or Le Repaire. you can find Wall House's menus on their website.

For somewhere in the hills, I would definitely go to Santa Fe.

If you are taking the ferry, just go across the street to Le Repaire for breakfast and people watching.
For lunch, my vote is with Tom Beach Le Plage for sure

I don't get Le Repaire for scenic beauty. The food is good, but it has a view of the carpark without the convivial Grand Anglais :)

For breakfast on the beach, O'Corail in Grand Cul de Sac, or maybe La Plage at the Tom Beach Hotel.

For breakfast in town, L'Oubli Bar, La Creperie, or La Cantina.

Not sure why the view at L'Oubli or Creperie or Cantina is any better than Le Repaire
