What a performance by John Fogerty

Many memorable performances in my Wolf Trap history but last night with John Fogerty was extra special. His tour is named the Celebration tour and he celebrated with packed house and lawn to regaining control of his catalog of songs earlier this year after 50 years without them. He celebrated being at Woodstock and even had the same guitar he played on that stage 54 years ago this week.

He celebrated his family with his sons on stage and his wife of 32 years just offstage. At the encore he brought out a bottle of champagne and toasted his fans for stickling with him all these years and then came Proud Mary.
