YELLOW Warning – HEAVY RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS / Saint Martin & Saint Barthélemy:
An active tropical wave (#28) is crossing the Lesser Antilles Arc and will begin affecting our territory this afternoon.
Period affected: From Tuesday, September 23rd at 5 p.m. to Wednesday, September 24th at 11 p.m.
Expected events:
Intermittent heavy showers and thunderstorms.
Risk of lightning and cumulative rainfall of up to 30 to 50 mm in 3 hours.
Possible but temporary respites.
Cautionary instructions:
Stay attentive to weather conditions.
Avoid outdoor activities and exposed seascapes.
Do not travel in flood-prone areas (fords, ravines, low-lying areas).
In case of a thunderstorm: do not stay under a tree or near a pylon, and limit the use of electrical appliances.
