We usually visit in December but were unable to go last year because we attended the World Cup in Qatar. How is the island in February, March, April? Are restaurants still open? Are things noticeable slower or just as busy? Is sargassum an issue?
Lots of family’s here because of president’s week and spring breaks. March is high gear due to the “bucket race”. Shops and restaurants do not close either.
After coming in December, February, and April (most trips in April), we decided that we preferred April due to it being light later (we like to dine on the later side) so we feel as though we get more "vacation value" in April and if you are into it, there are some island boutiques having sales, too. We do not remember rain in April, either. Bon voyage!
TOTALLY agree! Each time of the year is special for its own reasons. In terms of late afternoon / evening light, I especially like June. Many happy memories of floating on my back in St. Jean Bay, watching the sun setting behind the Colombier hills after 7 PM.
