We've stayed at Diaco and have loved it. We're looking at back ups in case Diaco isn't available for when we want to go. We've seen Royal Palm and Everest which looks comparable. We only need a 1 bd. We want a pool(of course) and full sun on the pool in the afternoon. Good breezes if possible. US satellite tv would be a perk but not necessary! Total privacy would be much appreciated for our "full sun" concept! If anyone has any information on these 2 villas, we'd appreciate the good, bad, and ugly. Also, if you've stayed anywhere else on the island that has the same features that you would recommend, we're open for suggestions. Thanks for your time.

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon on St. Barths where we stayed at Royal Palm. I really don't think I can say enough good things about this villa! The view was amazing! It is also extremely private. Being honeymooners the privacy was of extreme importance to us and we felt perfectly comfortable that all of our activities would be undetected. We also loved waking up each morning and seeing the incredible view from our four poster bed! The villa does have US satellite TV as well as the benefit of being able to call the US for free through use of the Vonage internet phone. Feel free to PM me with any specific questions.

We have stayed at Everest for four visits and just got back last week. It is located on the right just before you go through the gate to Diaco. It has everything you are looking for including US satelitte tv. I love the peace and views that that part of the island has. Do you kow where Royal Palm is located in relation to Diaco?

Thanks so much for your response after a honeymoon. We love St. Barths so much and just want to keep our options open. Where exactly is the Royal Palm? Are the breezes good? When we look at pictures we can't figure out where it is compared to Diaco but we understand that you don't know where Diaco is either. We loved Vitet as it was convenient to everywhere. Thanks for any information you can give us on the royal palm......you're the first to answer on this villa. Deb rynker@kconline.com

We stayed at Everest several years ago and our only complaint was that there might actually be too much sun! There is no shade for a major portion of the afternoon around the pool. But the view is wonderful and they've redecorated within the last two years. It's definitely a great buy as well.
