Two questions- does anyone know the names of restuarants on the beach that have lounge chairs for rent or hotels that will let you use their beach equipment? Also does anyone know where Mario is working.Thanks

Nikki Beach, Sand Bar/Eden Rock and La Plage/Tom Beach all rent chairs and have lunch.

Do a search for Mario as someone has recently mentioned him.

Tom Beach (La Plage), Eden Rock, Nikki Beach, all on St. Jean's beach.
I believe Isle de France on Flamands and I am sure there are others.

Mario is a good friend of mine but I've not seen him since Nov 2003. I've heard he is bartending part time at Cocoloba and I also heard he was bartending part time at Le Plage (Tom Beach). I believe he still goes for his breakfast at La Cantina in Gustavia in the early morning. Also, his house is directly next to Eddy's so you can always ask there if you don't find him elsewhere on the island.

On our recent trip we visited the beach at Guanahani (and we were welcome to use the chairs and facilities ..if we were hotel guest or if we were having lunch at Indigo.

Not a bad price of admission if you ask me.

Mario is at Cocoloba Monday afternoon and evening.By the end of April he may tkae on more hours there.He's doing well and seems to be enjoying working for Albert.His punch planteur and mojitos are very good, and he hasn't broken the blender yet.
