Travel to France with doggies

We are considering spending a few months in Paris in Spring 2014, and are planning to take our two doggies with us. They are too large (20 lbs amd 28 lbs) to take on board with us, and we don't want them taken as cargo.

Has anyone had experience with shared charters or open leg situations where they were able to take their dogs with them on the plane?

oooh--good questions! I've wondered the same thing. We have one 13 lb and one 55-60 lb....

That sounds like an amazing adventure! We looked into similar options when we traveled with our pup. Shared charters and empty leg flights can definitely work, especially if you're flexible on timing. Some pet-friendly private charter companies allow dogs in the cabin, even larger ones. It can be pricey, but worth it for peace of mind. I’d recommend reaching out to pet travel brokers they often know about upcoming open legs. Good luck!
