As the review states, placement is key. I think the science shows that mosquitoes are very weak flyers and tend to stay near where they breed.

I said bugs not only mosquitoes. It attracts no-see-ums too.

I've had a few of these in my yards during the time I spent in New Orleans pre and post-Katrina. They worked VERY well for us. As Kev alluded, keeping them fueled with propane is paramount to their success!

Same here, been using Mosquito Magnet for over 10 years except for last year. Our yard has been relatively mosquito free but while attending a party at a neighbor's house, the mosquitos feasted on us. We live in 3 acre zoning with about 1.5 acres of yard. The Magnet is positioned downed by the end of yard, not near the house. It attracts and traps them as advertised. Apparently, the mosquitos in your yard are actually your mosquitos, they do not travel significant distances. Last year (magnet broke) we started to notice more but nearly as much as our neighbors.
