We don't return to a place that doesn't put customer service right up there with their quality of food.

why would you?...you become an enabler if you do...it validates them..

screw that

bye bye....

Agree; and if the service is over-the-top poor, I haven't hesitated in telling management so.

yeah many people do...at home I would...on vacation my attitude is the vacation time is fleeting and short, and because of that I dont see them or it as worth my time - especially since I am probably not coming back either way..the less angry moments on vacation...the better.....I gave one SBH restaurant a second chance and did the whole talk to the owners thing, against my better judgement, and got royally burned for doing it...never again

screw me once..shame on you..screw me twice..shame on me

Stand up and pay or b*tch. Most folks are too shy to complain. It's your bucks. It's your time. Don't forget that.

IMHO

Is there any place you really like other than Chez Mike? Seems to be a long list of the twice burned.

There is one caveat: Most restaurants who just opened will have terrible service, because the team just has not set into a routine yet. (Plates coming late, confused orders). We see this all the time in New York. A new restaurant will die because people don't return, when in fact the problems could have been temporary. If food is good, I try to give them at least a second chance. I have observed that many of the city's top eateries started with rather spotty service.

wow..thats some stinky chum.... :D

I don't know where the heck you got that from but it certainly isn't a long list..

unless three is long to you...

then I suppose its long

The way to talk about it incessantly made me think it was a long list. I admire you strong principles of dining standards.

yes, despite our esteemed moderator manning the chum bucket this morning....I would agree with that..

for clarification purposes..I am talking over the top bad service and/or food of an established restaurant

Quite frankly, I'd prefer a burger from MikeR or Le Select before dealing with some places on SBH.

I guess that's why there's so much turnover "on isle" with restos. They don't get it.

A great meal does not mean ya paid an "off the wall" price. Eat truly local. IMHO.
