Tipping villa escort

The satisfaction of funding the rental agency cost of doing business?

Yup, about right...they have costs, and I suppose they pay their workers a VERY SMALL wage too, just like the restaurant worker and need those extra tips to survive.

Not my experience with SBP. They usually don't even look for a tip from us and show us the ups and downs....unless we know...and evn if we do we tend to give ten to twenty bucks...US. Even if I load the vehicle myself and know where we are going. I can't understand and never will understand how people become so tight with their wads when they spend so much to get to, stay, eat, and love SBH. It blows my mind.

Another restaurant owners view...God you guys are big tippers...great!

Hey don't pat my back. If you call me a big tipper, you actually might be a poor tipper. I would never call myself a big tipper but know there are people out there like.....uhm....and know how difficult it is and am I guess also compensating for you?

Compensating for me? Give me a break.....

It's got nothing to do with being "tight". It's a question of taking the trouble to think about what local habits are. If there is an increasing "tipping mentality" on the island, it is exactly because of people like you who throw their money around blindly.

Ohhh- a fight -other than between fred and skeeter. Cool.

Before this thread turned into a more serious conflict, I thought it would be better off down here. I'll ask all participants to keep in mind our rule against personal attacks on another member, sufficient cause for any thread to be deleted. We've already gotten pretty close to crossing that line in this thread.

Fine. We will have to return this section to my mindless battles with that guy from NY.

But I was having a good time watching it get personnel among others.

Oh, please. Skeeter and I have exchanged virtual blows here....

anyway, I fall into the 10-20 USD area...depending on how the rep behaves and how detailed the opening tour is....

Oh, in response to the question?
Last time I gave the guy a $10 or $20 because that's what I usually do at Four Seasons.
I shouldn't have though, because the guy really did not do much.
We did tip the maid well as she went out of her way for us on a few things (and even made some telephone calls for us relative to getting a cab -- took care of the translation issues and she was able to tell the cab driver exactly how to get to the villa).

I think this is the issue. If you don't tip at home, you probably don't tip on the island. Say you are staying at a nice hotel in San Francisco or New York and you ask the doorman to get you a taxi. What do you tip? I give $5. Next?

High roller.

taxi? $2

I usually get my own cab...but when I do use the doorman, and he blows his whistle to have the next cab move up to the entrance, I give 1-2 bucks. (this is chicago) 5 bucks...JEK,you are such a brown noser!

Well, 20 years ago I gave a buck or two, but inflation . . . .

Next: You roll into valet parking at your favorite restaurant/hotel for a lunch/meeting. What do you give the guys to keep the car up front for the fast getaway?

Usually park it myself, but when in Palm Beach and drive the Rolls, always give them at least 20 and I don't have to ask to park it up front :) ..they do it anyway.... any other car will give 5 for valet parking and they don't keep it up front...I'm never in a hurry or feel that important

according to my bartender friends, overtippers are typically an insecure bunch using the overtip to garnish attention and acceptance......

I for one am glad I don't live in a world of valet parking and doormen etc....yuck...who needs that?
