I know that i had started the thread, but what I have done at some hotels or places where I know that the housekeeping staff tends to remain the same... I will tip earlier in my stay, in addition to the end of the stay. Sometimes leaving a tip in the beginning of your stay sets the town, and you will see some added care by your housekeeper.
