Yes you do have the Packers and that is a GOOD thing..

well that's too bad but maybe it can change ....many of these farms here were going under until they reinvented themselves and became their own farm/processor/retailer all in one and it has been a complete win win for us all ......if it can happen here it can happen there

We do have a lot of farms. . What we need are visionaries to take a chance and people to support such a change. In the meantime, I'll continue to travel to places that have good food!

Soybeans, field corn, wheat and oats don't do much for the farm to table market.

Trader Joes reliability?.....spotty at best ( and l'm a huge TJ fan ) but you still have to read labels there especially with non organic products ....we go to TJ for specific items that we know are ok......but it's not a store you can do all your grocery shopping in ...I don't shop at Whoke Foids because their pricing is ridiculous

I am a fan of TJs and pick and choose carefully but the whole scared thing about GMOs is ridiculous. There comes a time when PC goes over the line. GMOs have been with us for a long time without any problems until the anti-peanut crowd became involved. My Giant Food store has a lot of organics at twice the price.
