If you like Alice Hoffman, a born on Long Island author, then do add this to your reading list. I have read almost 30 of her stories. I enjoy her magical books so much and this one did not disappoint. There is time travel,love of books and libraries, heartbreak, witchcraft, love between man and woman and certainly mother and child.

Amy, thank you for your recommendation. I read almost everything you mention. You never let me down. I have met Alice Hoffman several times. Always in Provincetown, in the fall, when I take a painting class. The last time, she called me by name before I even saw her. I felt like a superstar. I am spending time with an elderly lady who can't read any longer, so I read to her. Her current choice? Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. YOU are the superstar.
