SXM Transfer Desk — WinAir

Good morning friends!

Mel & Kerri returning for our 22nd Anniversary to stay at the Whale with the “Fairy Godmother!”

Question for the experts:

Do you think it is worth it to book Premium IV for transfer service?

We have carry-on luggage only, but I’m worried we have a tight connection time to WinAir.

I remember there was a transfer booth at the hallway on the inside ramp before you go into immigration?

We arrive at 1:50pm into SXM, but depart for St. Barths at 3:50pm.

I have digital boarding passes (a PDF Copy) on my phone.

If we can’t transfer, I’m guessing we go through immigration and customs, and then bypass the main check-in desk and go through security and on to the departure.

Thanks for your help — We hope to see you all on the island shortly!

I think booking Premium IV for just the transfer from SXM to SBH is well worth it. We arrived at SXM on 29-Apr on United and our flight left Newark over 2 hours late. We landed in SXM at 4:30pm with a WinAir flight at 4:55pm. Premium IV whisked us through the transfer desk and down to the gates in literally 5 minutes. I suggest that you print out your boarding passes for WinAir as it made the transfer process faster (handed all the passes to the Premium IV agent).

There were others on our United flight that missed the connection to the 4:55pm WinAir flight because they had checked bags or did not have Premium IV to help expedite. Made a harrowing day end up great, as we made the WinAir connection and landed in Paradise at 5:10pm. Well worth it. Vincent and James at Premium IV can work miracles.
