Where is the best Sunday brunch in St. Barth? Will be there 3rd week of July.
Are you looking for a restaurant that makes a special point of serving “Sunday Brunch” or simply any restaurant where you can eat well?
For the former, the ones I know are Villa Marie (a/k/a Francois Plantation) & Le Barthélemy Hotel. Eden Rock Hotel also has a lovely breakfast buffet . . . but it is (at least, “was” a couple of months ago -- I haven’t been there recently) a daily occurrence, as opposed to a special Sunday event.
If you don’t mind waiting ‘til Noon, the first seating at Nikki Beach will be very animated & can be fun . . . offering very good food & great people-watching. Nearby is Pearl Beach . . . another favorite venue for many, next to end of the airport runway (though — in my recent experience — less than stellar food). Le Repaire in Gustavia will be low key, but nice view of the harbor & quite good food. Fouquet’s, the restaurant of Carl Gustaf Hotel, has a superlative view overlooking Gustavia . . . dinner reviews have been “over the top;” my luncheon experience was so-so (it was in an early opening week, so I want to give it another try). Lunch at La Langouste in Flamands offers a very pleasant ambiance, easy access to the beach, & can be excellent food. The nearby Cheval Blanc Hotel offers two restaurants — La Case & La Cabane . . . former is more upscale, with perfect service & excellent food (if you go to the larger La Cabane, I suggest that you specify that you do not want to sit in the middle row of tables — the positioning of these tables offers a nice ocean view to the person sitting on one side, while anyone sitting opposite that person has only a view of his/her dining companion(s) & a generally unpleasant, IMO, view of the legs of diners at tables on the elevated level behind them).
I’ll leave it to others to say what is “best.”
