St. Jean Beach

Coming back to SBH after a 4 year absence. Our kids grew up coming every winter. St. Jean beach was always our favorite. We always rented chairs/umbrellas from Jean Michelle (and Luca) or just brought our own (rented from the surf shop ). Looks like beach clubs have taken over St. Jean almost completely. Is it still possible to set up our own chairs on the beach ( past Nikki beach club) or by Pearl Beach (old TomTom hotel)? Or should we just stick with other beaches? Thank you!

Between Nikki and Eden Rock there is some sand to put your chair down.

Most of the beach is public . . . set up your chairs wherever you like, if not obviously in the area being used by a beach establishment.

Between Nikki and the first club down the way there is space to set up chairs. A lot of thump thump going on either side but ignore it and enjoy the calm water.
And if you go on the Eden Rock side there is open beach just past that. But construction of the old Emeralde Plage might be a bother.
Or if you come in the path by the airport just past Pearl beach there is space.
When we were there last April the beach there was not very wide.
It all depends on Mother Nature and shifting sands.
You will find your beach!!!!
