I'm heartsick to report that the owner of the villa we had reserved for Oct 29 - Nov 8 has now cancelled our reservation, due to unreliable power and no wifi. We are working hard to figure out a plan that brings us back to our beloved island asap with reasonable creature comforts that also allow us to support the tourism economy and rebuilding efforts.

Wimco has a list of villas that are available. They got me a villa after the one I usually get was destroyed.

No I changed to the one closer to Nikki. All the villas on that side are trashed including CAP.

Insurance will pay to rebuild villas they hoped would fall down. Score.
Our last day, 8/31 I walked and sat down the very end, and was contemplating how the owners really must have wanted to rebuild those villas near Nikki.

Villa SOL has been closed for years so the storm was a blessing of sorts. Villa CHG was pretty modern inside. CAP is on a small tract so I don’t know if they can build a bigger one. The villa in back of CAP is high off the ground so no water damage and is protected from wind by the hill in back. I have no idea about Camp David.
