If anyone did think that it sucks…it didn’t and it does not. Thank you for the smile
Love your thought, Jeanette!Should we start telling people it sucks to help reduce traffic and crowds on the island? Just a thought...
Enjoy your first Bucket, MB.
Sending anyone to SXM is cruel and unusual punishment. Suggest Haiti as a better alternative location.Good comment by Jeanette.
I tell people SXM is where you need to go.
St Barts is the best 8 square miles on the planet. Period. That having been said I have to take at least partial exception to the notion that St Martin is beyond redemption. There are some really good restaurants in Grand Case and there are very reasonably priced spectacular villas in the Lowlands. All of the villas are set on lots of just over 2 acres as the original developer had the foresight to restrict development back in the 1950's before that was a concern elsewhere. The entire community is gated and many of the individual villas have their own gates as well. There are three incredible beaches and two of them you have to get past the main gate to gain access. Here's the secret part. The main gate is very intimidating. Most people turn back assuming they can't get in so the beaches are always uncrowded. By law, the French beaches are public. Just pull up to the gate and when the guard asks you where you are going just say the either Plum Bay or Baie Longue and, Voila!, you're in! If you stay in Terre Basses, shop in Marigot, and dine out in Grand Case you can tell your friends how to have a French Caribbean vacation for a fraction of the cost of visiting St Barts and still look like a hero.Good comment by Jeanette.
