SBH Insider
We are headed back in a couple of weeks and our daughter and SIL are joining us for part of the trip. This will be their 1st visit to SBH and we are so excited to share our love of this island with them.

To quote the Forum - So little time and so many restaurants!!!

This is the tentative plan for the week -
Le Repaire - dinner
Sand Bar - obviously lunch :)
L'Esprit
Day at Le Guanahani - loungers, massage, lunch
Grain de Sel - lunch
Le Jardin sandwiches for the plane home

Their date nights - Tamarin and L'Isola

Breakfast - Eden to Go, Bar de L'oubli, La Petite Colombe

We wanted a little bit of everything. Any other suggestions? They are only here from Monday - Saturday

The countdown has started!!!

Well, Le Select at noon and Eddy's at 7! Tell them the Marius story and then meet his son and grandson!

Breakfast at Le Jardin, across from the airport, always is great. Lunch, as well -- always tasty, reasonably priced specials. Dinners also are excellent . . . served, I believe, on Friday & Saturday evenings.

Ti Corail is so good for a casual beach lunch. I thought Mapo in St
Jean was excellent. But your choices are all great.

Sounds like some great choices. Please post on the experience at Grain de Sel.

Charlotte….you do know this group thrives on sharing ANY AND ALL experiences you will have while there.

If you don't mind a little drive out to petite cul de sac.....there is a bakery that in my opinion is the best on the island. if you like chocolate croissants, pain au raisin...then visit chokola vany bakery. its just past the toiny hotel, you go down the hill towards petite cul de sac, bakery is located at the bottom of the hill on the right, just before the turn to petite cul de sac beach. small sign, so you have to keep an eye out hours 6am to 1 pm.

speaking of best boulangeries/pâtisseries, has anyone tried the offerings at Cheval Blanc (Le Kiosk) ?
yes, they are wonderful . I have been there for breakfast, they serve a combo buffet with all the cheeses and pastries and you can order your eggs anyway you like. their desserts for lunch are also amazing.

Diana - thank you for the bakery information. We may try before our day in the loungers. Do they have tables or is it take away only?

they do, but its a small area outside, perhaps a couple of small tables and no view. I get the pastries and go down to petite cul de sac ( its the first right past the bakery, a very short drive, can't miss it) and sit on the beach and look at the view while I have a picnic. if you don't wish to sit on the beach , there is a picnic table just a few steps down the beach.

Grain de Sel is my NEW favorite spot. I have been there 5x times in the last couple of months. I have had many different things on the menu and all of them were flavorful and delicious. Definitely recommended!
I second Grand de Sel as a new favorite spot this year!

We love it too.
For those on IG they have posted a new menu.
Some dishes remain, a lot are new and all sound delicious.
Cocktail and dessert menus look updated as well.

Thanks.

Hello - I really appreciate everyone's input. We got over ruled for GdS, and reservations to Nikki's were made instead. fortunately it is the 12:30 seating. Bill and I will enjoy GdS on our own next week. The menu looks delicious!
