Shipping rum...

Andy..They are telling me that it is up to the agent on duty at the time to determine, in his judgement, that the shipment is destined to be sold commercially....8 bottles!...Just spoke to the Tampa ATF division....they agreed that it was a bad call and are sending me a one time permit stating it is for personal use....but since I made them aware I am importing liquor, I owe them 5.37 in state tax...check is on the way!

Kevin, I am sure you have your sources.....just got a case of Vueve from ASTOR WINES at 37.99 per bottle, no tax and 26.00 shipping...

8 bottles? Definitely personal use. That would barely last 8 days...

Kevin..on my way back to the Cape tonight I am stopping at your favorite liquor store in Hooksett to get the liquor for the summer, and I plan on putting a hurtin on the shelves.....LOL

Ron,

ATF has noting on Massachusetts. Masachusetts does its best to prevent alcohol from being shipped in from out of state. I'm sure that the in-state distributors are very happy about that, but it doesn't help the consumer. I usually just stock up when I see a sale.

...And that is why you have friends that have businesses that can ship you stuff......Be glad to help if you ever need it.
