Went last night. Was pleasantly surprised. Setting was lovely, staff very attentive and friendly. Have not been since Maya’s was there and they did a nice job of decorating it. Yes it was pricey but we didn’t opt for the most pricey, except for the 25 euro valet. He had lamb, I had chicken. I was halfway through my meal and discovered an unexpected surprise in it. Will not get into details but pointed it out to waiter and he immediately took it away and brought me another full meal. He and another waitress were extremely apologetic. Only glitch in what was a very lovely evening.

Only "another full meal?" They still charged you for it? You were comfortable eating the new meal, despite the "unexpected surprise?"

In hindsight had we thought faster the most likely scenario would have been to just say no thank you take it off the bill. But we just rolled with the punches. The meal was given back in a to go bag so I didn’t have to worry about any other surprises and my appetite was gone anyway. He had it for lunch today and it was good. We still enjoyed our evening there.

I would have walked after the 'discovery', not paid a euro & demanded the valet charge back.

They were very gracious with their response and didn’t want to raise a ruckus by demanding our money back.
