We have good friends who attended a wedding on the island and did most of their dining at Stella. They think this is what island culture/cuisine is all about. Luckily for them I arranged for EddyG to give them his special private tour of the real island!

Wow. I am surprised by how negative the reactions are to Sella. Admittedly we have only been once but our experience was very good. I posted about it here.

The best things I ate

Rather than writing reviews I am going to post about the best things we have eaten on this trip. Aile de raie special at Eddy’s. Meaty and moist. Biggest skate wing I think I’ve ever had. The caper butter sauce an excellent companion. Tarama d’oursin at Ti Corail. Wow, if you like regular...

We had a wonderful meal. The service was attentive. We had lovely conversations with our waitress. I recall she was from a small town near the Belgium border. Two of the best things I ate during the last trip were at Sella. But we went early. 7:00. Maybe that’s the key. Our waitress told us to be done by 9:00 if we wanted to skip the so called party. It is expensive though. Planning our next trip now and Sella will be part of it.

The negative reviews, especially poor quality of food and poor service are consistent with 2 different, trusted friends who have dined there. The first is a 40+ year veteran of SB and the other has been coming more recently.
