This is amazing.

Nearly 4000nm on the most direct route from Conarneau to Saint Barthélemy.

TeamWork arrive first, setting a new course record, at 16:08 Local, 22:08 Paris

Now, in the next 8 hours, 11 more boats have arrived, with one more soon to follow.

What a race - 4000nm.

What competitors, for so many to finish so close together after so many miles.

Kudos to all who have finished, all brave and accomplished mariners.

I love the finish in Gustavia, I have been there to experience it. It is an experience, both for the sailors and for the welcoming crowd.

The race may have a winner, and SBHOnline may have a winner, but the race is not done for me.

I’m still following the last few boats. The race won’t end for me until the last boat crosses the finish line in the next 3-4 days. Yes, days. And, as always, there will be a fleet of local boats to escort them to the finish.

There are no losers in this 4.000nm race, but there are 17 teams who didn’t finish First.

TeamWork wins, flurry of arrivals and four duos still at sea

May 31, 2021

After the victory of Nils Palmieri and Julien Villion (TeamWork), the arrivals followed one another in Saint-Barthélemy, in a very nice atmosphere. The duos Tanguy Le Turquais / Corentin Douguet (Queguiner - Innoveo) and Tom Laperche / Loïs Berrehar (Brittany - CMB Performance) completed the podium. The night was very lively as 14 Figaro Bénéteau 3 crossed the line in 7 hours. Estelle Greck and Laurent Givry (RLC Sailing) should be the next to finish. There will then only be three boats left at sea.

A hotly contested podium

One hour and 42 minutes behind the winners, Tanguy Le Turquais and Corentin Douguet grabbed second place. “The first thing we want to say is kudos to TeamWork! They were imperial, they were faultless. We are super happy for them because they are guys we like, "said Tanguy Le Turquais. “We are the second in the northern group to come out of this. We are not unhappy with our performance. It was quite stressful, we weren't bored. It was really hard physically, it was also a great experience. We have come to the end. We have pushed the cursor far, we arrive exhausted. Thirty minutes later, Tom Laperche and Loïs Berrehar completed the podium. “All the favorites went south without hesitation. We are proud of our race, from start to finish. 36 hours ago we imagined arriving 7th or 8th behind the whole group from the north. We fought hard to be the first in the south and manage to cross in third place, ”said Tom Laperche.

Big game for the places of honor

Behind, arrivals have multiplied with GUYOT - Environment - Ruban Rose, Région Normandie, (L'Égoïste) - Cantina St Barth, Brittany - CMB Océane, Breizh Cola, Devenir, Gardons la vue, Skipper Macif, MonAtoutEnergie.fr, Cybèle Holidays - Team Play to B and finally Groupe Gilbert, at 7:10 a.m. (metropolitan time). The first fourteen of this 15th edition therefore completed the course in a period of 7 hours and 02 minutes. Fifteenth place should go to Estelle Greck and Laurent Givry (RLC Sailing) who are expected in Gustavia around 5 pm (mainland time). Once this duo is moored, there will only be three Figaro Bénéteau 3 at sea: Erisma - Sodes Group - Tara Océan Foundation, Interaction and Kriss-Laure.

Three duos are still in the race

June 01, 2021

Since the arrival of Estelle Greck and Laurent Givry (RLC Sailing) yesterday, fifteen boats from the Double Transat - Concarneau - Saint-Barthélemy have been moored in the port of Gustavia. There are three Figaro Bénéteau 3s left in the race. The next sailors to cross the finish line will be Jérôme Samuel and Nicolas Salet (Erisma - SODES Group - Tara Océan Foundation). They are expected tomorrow at the end of the morning (metropolitan time). The Livory brothers (Interaction) and the duo Nicolas Bertho / Romuald Poirat (Kriss - Laure) should finish Thursday.

Erisma - SODES Group - Tara Oceans Foundation will be the first 100% amateur duo to complete. Jérôme Samuel and Nicolas Salet are making progress in an unstable trade wind of 10 to 15 knots, with squalls. Navigation is also disturbed by the Sargassum. The two sailors should arrive at Pointe de Colombier between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. tomorrow morning (mainland time), or even a little later. Then, the rounding of the island will not be easy as they will probably have to tack under the mainsail alone due to the breakage of their forestay on May 22nd.

Interaction and Kriss - Laure will bring up the rear on Thursday

According to the routing of the race director, Yannig and Erwan Livory (Interaction) could cross the finish line on Thursday at midday. Always Thursday, but in the evening, Nicolas Bertho and Romual Poirat (Kriss - Laure) will close this 15th edition. "You have to realize that we are in one of the most prestigious ocean races in the world with the elite of the discipline, top-level champions," they recall. “It’s a joy and an honor to share this race with them. We're going to finish, it's a total satisfaction. "
