Saint Barth Tourism letter on US and Canadian entry requirements of 21 JUN

Diana, just to be perfectly clear, is it your advice to ignore all of the protocols and just come on down? People are genuinely confused about the situation and look to the Forum for clarity.

I am not giving advice, I am giving my travel experience and what happened on the day that I arrived on June 15. the people in front of me were all tourists including the fellow who was going to be sailing a boat from st. barths to Grenada for the hurricane season. the seven people in front of me were as follows, three were french which includes dda, the rest were american tourists. the customs officer just looked at the french passports, but all the american passports were stamped. nothing else was asked of any of the tourists nor was anything asked of me besides showing my passport.

I cannot believe much has changed since I arrived as there were more protocols in place before June 20th. I would say use your best judgement on the information that has been provided on the forum so far. What would I do? I would travel to st. barths, once you get on the boat or plane, very unlikely that you would face any problems when you arrrive here.

I did not have a problem in sxm when I said no to the vaccination question, and as I said customs in sbh ony asked to see passports from the eight of us that had traveled on sbc.

My question would be why would they change with less protocols?

I have been traveling to St barths regularly to vacation for the last 15 years, most of those trips bringing my 6 lb dog with me. Not ever once did the custom official who stamps the passports in his his little office ask me to show "required' papers with proof of vaccines, chip, health certification etc...NEVERTHELESS on every one of those trips, I always had my papers prepared. It would be Murphys law that the one trip I neglected to follow protocols would be the trip that the official would ask for them. Traveling to St barths in Covid times is really no different.

I arrived on the 15th of June. only had to show my passport to customs and I came via sbc. I was not asked for my neg pcr test or anything else, no one outside to take my temp like in January.. doubtful anything has changed. why do you worry so much?

Interesting. Is this after transiting through SXM or SJU? Supposedly, you won't be allowed on the plane in the US to travel to SXM if you don't have the green light from the EHAS application to show before boarding (which would prove you provided a negative test result). Perhaps after that they knew this and didn't ask again?

I know when we came in November a lot of people were saying their test results were never looked at upon arrival at SBH but ours were.

I transited through sxm Jim. when we left miami, there were 3 persons from American just checking documents only. they checked our ehas form and also our pcr test results. they gave us an approval and we proceeded in line to check our bags. After arriving in sxm, we were so happy to see sbc waiting for us. they took our bags tags and got our bags for us and we proceeded directly to the sbc desk for check in with their airline. sbc asked for our vaxx cards and our pcr tests, not the ehas form. we said here are our pcr test results, we checked no for vaccinations. He said no problem and then we proceeded to the short line for immigration, immigration for sxm only wanted our passports and nothing else. we then went to the gate. after arriving in sbh, our passports were stamped and we proceeded to get our bags.

I understand every traveler may have a different experience, but the eight of us on the sbc flight had to only show our passports at sbh customs. this was a recent experience.
