Road Construction & Parking Realities

I’ve been reading about the ongoing road improvement projects—especially the sidewalk extension down toward Le Sereno / Ti Corail and the updates around Lurin and Gouverneur.

For those on island recently:

How is traffic flow around Grand Cul-de-Sac and Marigot handling the work?

Is street parking along the narrow beach access roads getting trickier or tighter with the new sidewalks and enforcement?

Would love to get a sense of what to expect for driving and parking once the high-season traffic picks back up!

The road work in Marigot is coming to completion so they will be ready for high season. There is still one long light there as they finish the work but other than days when they are actually pouring concrete the road has been open with the light for alternative traffic. The sidewalks don't seem to impact traffic flow... the only thing is the huge number of cars, on Saturday for example, the parking lot at U Express in Lorient was packed and there are very few tourists on the island right now.... hard to imagine what December will bring. Might have to shop at 9am or 8pm!
