Dear Forum,

Merry Xmas to all of you.

Returning to beautiful SB (this is our 14th time). As the usual suspects realised SB restaurants have become incredibly expensive (at least for us) we used to go out eating nearly every night of our stay, now I am afraid we don’t. My question is: have new reasonably priced restaurants have opened? I do not think that the list on this site is updated. Thank you

We will be there soon so will check around for you. Yes, restaurants everywhere are getting super expensive for sure. We actually love the simple food at Cantina if you don’t mind informal. We will try La Casina, which looks reasonable, and Chez Gus if they respond to our concierges, in addition to our regular favorites.

I've had two outstanding meals at Les Bananiers this trip. I never really tried it until 2 or 3 years ago because I thought it was just a pizza restaurant. And while they have excellent pizza , there are many more delicious offerings. Service is excellent , ambiance is low key and friendly and the food is out of this world! Reasonable prices , locally owned and operated . TRY IT and order the supreme de volaille while it's on "special"

Agree that this is a dining winner. Best pizza and terrific French chef.

Cannot wait, will be there Thursday God willing and wind is measurable to accommodate landing. When I was on the island last month, planes were not flying due to NO wind.

We really enjoyed Mi Brasa when we were there in May; very local vibe. Going back next week hoping that it hasn’t changed. Creperie is another option for a good, reasonably-priced meal.

Dear SB insiders,

Thank you very much for this useful info….. really appreciated.

Will put in my votes as well for Bananiers, Mi Brasa, Creperie, and La Casina (though I have not been, the prices look reasonable and I am crediting to them some of the good will the previous tenant in the space, Zion, accumulated).

That said - I think when we get back we will likely cook in dinner for at least 2 meals, especially on the days when we get a nice lunch somewhere like Sand Bar or Le Toiny.

It is good thing you like Italian food prepared on a French Caribbean Island. You can practically dine all week at a new restaurant!

*Le Sereno Al Mare

*L'ISOLA

*L'isoletta

*MAMO ST BARTH

*LA CASINA St Barth

Let me know if I missed any.. 😁
